STUDYPATH* October 12-15, 2009
In-class assignments and class updates trump published blogs.

*POTENTIAL, ACHIEVEMENT, THOUGHT, HONOR

Cornell Notes will be reviewed on Monday and test is scheduled for Tuesday. Students should study all notes for this test.

Literary terms from Elements of Literature, 4th Course will be introduced on Monday and Tuesday when textbooks are required in class. Last week's 31-40 literary terms tests are scored and will be returned. Students are also responsible for completing reading of "The Bet" and the associated answers to questions downloaded on Homework One are due today in class. A "Letter to the Editor" writing assignment will accompany the short story and due dates will be announced.

Five talking points per chapter for Chapters Eleven-Fifteen of Catcher in the Rye are due on Friday for our usual class discussion. A test on Chapters Six-Ten will be given today before students complete their class discussions from last Friday.

Grammar assignment from English Workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, when books are due in class.

Vocabulary Workshop Unit I-III cumulative review will be assigned this week in preparation for a test on the three units. That test date will be announced in class. The Unit III test is scheduled for today in class so study this weekend to be prepared.

Students are responsible for completing the gomyaccess.com persuasive essay on Sojourner Truth by Monday night, when the deadline for the assignment is set. Follow the prompt and deliver an essay online that hopefully measures a 6.0 on the persuasive rubric.

Have a good weekend, and remember hard work is the path to knowledge, and knowledge is power.
