Tuesday January 31
Literary terms test (folk tale-inversion) is scheduled
Holt Grammar textbook is required in class; assignment Pages 395-396 Exercise 6, 7 and Review D are due in class
Vocabulary Workshop Review Units Ten-Twelve are assigned and due Monday

Wednesday February 1
Literary terms from the anthology are scheduled (41-50 irony-onomatopoeia)
Americanism paper prewriting continues in class; topic "What are my Duties as a Citizen?"

Thursday February 2
The Tragedy of Julius Caesar continues in class

Friday February 3
Lord of the Flies Chapters 1-5 dialectical journals are returned to students for class discussion; novels are required in class; one dialectical journal per chapter for Chapters 6-10 are due Friday, February 10 (postponed from February 3)

AP Blitz date for AP English Language is scheduled next Thursday, January 26 at lunch in Room 422 (students interested in AP English Language class for next year should attend with Mr. Carmicle, Ms. Cusolito and Mr. Medoway)
